Hi Randy -

I think the simple two-sentence summary would be something like this:

The current policy between IANA and the RIRs for allocating IPv4 will become
unusable once IANA runs out. We need a new policy that keeps the structure
between IANA and RIRs in place and gives IANA something useful to do.

That said, I sympathize with the proposal but I'm not sure if this is what
we're looking for.

Best,

TIA if anybody reading this could ignore these bogus routes advertised

If you see routes for that subnet announced from anywhere other than
XO they are bogus.

Mogguh,

Bekeerde Suster" (v/h brouwerij Maximiliaan).

aangemeld:

Marco Niels Niels Mischa Frans Edwin Marc Sander Vincent Mike

MENOG, SANOG

[swinog] ASNumber Extension for Firefox

Andre Oppermann

We've written a Firefox Extension that displays the AS Number of every
website visited along with some additional interesting information. All
data is updated daily and the prefix to AS number mapping is from a DFZ
BGP feed.

You can download the extension here (a screenshot is available too):

http://www.asnumber.networx.ch

If you have any feedback, comments or feature requests please contact
me either directly or at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. We are working on providing
a lot more information on the RIR IP address delegations but need fully
access to all RIR's whois records for that. I've completed all paperwork
last week and we should receive full access in the near future. Another
thing I want to do is to show the number of RBL (Spamhaus, etc) listed
IPs per AS.
