IETFでIPv6 NATがコンセンサスに至らなかった、という記事。
NATがセキュリティに対して有効という話もあるが、NATのそもそもの導入を考えると
セキュリティ主眼ではないし、そもそもNATで守られるようなセキュリティでもなくなってきているんだよね・・・Botnetとか考えると。
IPv6にNATって必要なのかな？
IPv6のNATテーブルって凄いことになりそうだし、Webに限らずサービス側は
余計なレイヤーを足すことでオペレーションのコスト(金額のみならず労力も)が
増すのみ、という意見も頷ける。
IPv6NATはあってもいいし、IETFは止めるつもりもない、とのことなので開発は自由ですが(笑)

このメーリングリストは上記のような世界各国のニュースが飛んできます。
全文引用は膨大だったのでヘッダだけ引用。
#domain name newsにJapanese Newsがないんですよね。
もうひとつ、「general internet news」というものも流れてきます。
この2つを見ていると世界のInternet業界のNewsが追えたりします。
記事が膨大で、さらにLink先まで読みに行ってるととても読みきれないですけど。
